No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Shared Website Hosting
We've resolved the matter of silent data corruption on all our shared website hosting servers by using the cutting-edge Z file system, or ZFS. The latter is more advanced than other file systems since it is the only one in existence that checks all the files right away by employing a checksum - a digital identifier that is unique for each file. When you upload content to your account, it'll be stored on several NVMe drives and constantly synchronized between them for redundancy. ZFS regularly analyzes the checksum of all files and when any file is detected as damaged, it's replaced promptly with a good copy from another disk. As this happens in real time, there is no risk that a corrupted file may remain or may be duplicated on the rest of the NVMes. ZFS requires lots of physical memory to carry out the real-time checks and the advantage of our cloud website hosting platform is that we employ multiple powerful servers working together. If you host your sites with us, your information will be undamaged no matter what.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you get one of our semi-dedicated server plans, you won't have to be concerned about silent data corruption because we use ZFS - a high level file system that checks all the files in real time. Each time you upload a file to your website hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. That file will be synchronized between multiple NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and when it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This is done instantly, so there will be no risk for any part of your content at any time. In comparison, all of the other file systems execute checks only after a system malfunction, but since they do not use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they can't detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy may be replicated on the rest of the disks as well and you can lose important data. Since this isn't the case with ZFS, we are able to warrant the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
