A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a shared website hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created displayed alphabetically and to the right of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you if a specific mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any moment. If there is active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will receive a notification from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be created with a few clicks of the mouse in case you have a semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses under any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click on the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Deactivating this feature can be done in the very same manner and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a specific domain, you’ll receive a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or disable any feature automatically.
